Nature therapy

Nature Therapy Camp for children with autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) will meet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 6 and 20, July 11 and 25 and Aug. 1 and 15.

This unique nature camp is designed to immerse kids with autism and ADHD in the natural world. Magnifying glasses, binoculars, bug boxes and art supplies encourage children to interact with nature. Naturalists guide the students to find their own unique way of expressing themselves in nature. Camp includes free-form musical jams where everyone participates in making music. Empowering the individual while creating a connection to the group is paramount.

All camp days are facilitated by registered nature therapy counselor Erin Kenny and naturalist Robin Rogers and have a 2:1 student to teacher ratio.

Kids can participate in one or all of the dates. Contact Cedarsong Nature School at www.cedarsongnatureschool.org to register.
