Famous photographer grandson presents raffle prize | Photo

LUCKY WINNER: Ron Newell, left, grandson of photographer Norman Edson, congratulates Roger Douglas on winning the raffle for an original Edson photo. The drawing was the closing event of the Edson Exhibition held by the Vashon Heritage Museum from May 17 to June 8. The majority of the works in the show were loaned to the museum by Bill Taylor of Edmonds, who also donated two photos for the raffle, in support of the Widhya Asih orphanage in Bali. Visits at the museum during the exhibit increased five-fold over its normal number of visitors. - Harvey Bergman/courtesy photo
