Jen Marlowe will discuss her new book, co-authored with Sami Al Jundi, “The Hour of Sunlight: One Palestinian’s Journey from Prisoner to Peacemaker,”  at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at Vashon Bookshop. Marlowe is an award-winning journalist, filmmaker, human rights activist and author.

The book tells the story of how Al Jundi was imprisoned for 10 years in an Israeli jail, where he  underwent a transformation from violent protester to peace activist. He has spent the last 20 years working for a non-violent  resolution to the Israeli-Palestine conflict.

Al Jundi will participate in Saturday’s discussion at the Bookshop via video or Skype.
