Video contest seeks entries
March 30, 2011 · Updated 2:28 PM
Voice of Vashon has announced a call for entries for a new video contest, “Rule of Five,” that is open to Islanders of all ages. Videographers are being asked to submit videos no longer than five minutes, in which the following five words or objects appear: dragon, five, mother, husk and voice. Entries will be judged on originality of concept, creative use of the five words or objects and the quality of sound, music and video. Technical support, including flip-style cameras, editing, and sound recording is available. Prizes will be awarded to all finalists. Videos are due by May 5. Finalists will be announced on May 11, and the winner will be announced on May 29 at a Church of Great Rain performance. Entry forms are available at Ober Park, Vashon High School, Café Luna and the Library. For more information or electronic entry forms, contact Steve Schrock at 353-6231 or ruleofive@gmail.com.
