A funnyman struts his stuff at a show for kids

Ready to laugh? Comic Alex Zerbe will launch this year’s Vashon Allied Arts Family Series at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Blue Heron Art Center.
Stunts, physical comedy and audience participation are all a part of Zerbe’s high-energy show.
The show includes mind-blowing maneuvers such as mouth-juggling two ping-pong balls and harpooning vegetables launched from a giant slingshot. Audiences will also be able to see Zerbe test his skills at chopping celery by throwing a a playing card.
Tickets to the show are $5 for ages 10 and younger, $9 for VAA members and seniors and $12 for everyone else. They are on sale at the Blue Heron, Heron’s Nest, Island book stores and www. brownpapertickets.com.
