It’s time once again for a rollicking show put on by the Church of Great Rain, Vashon’s beloved music, comedy and variety show.
The show, dubbed “April Foolishness,” will take place at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Open Space for Arts & Community.
The audience for the show usually fills the cavernous warehouse space, so attendees are urged to show up early for a good seat. Doors will open at 3 p.m. with beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks available to enjoy. Other merchandise, including apparel and Church House Blend coffee, will also be for sale.
As usual, the show will feature the talents of the sketch comedy ensemble, the Holly Roller Radio Players, and the Church of Great Rain house band.
The show’s co-founder, Frank Hein, who is now living on Catalina Island in California, will make a guest appearance.
Other musical guests will include Star Anna and Justin Davis, lead singer and lead guitarist of the Seattle band Laughing Dogs, performing as a duo.
