Kids are in ‘Best Christmas Pageant Ever’
December 13, 2012 · 10:22 AM
A all-ages holiday treat — Vashon Allied Arts Youth Musical Theater’s production of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” — will be unwrapped at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday, at the Blue Heron.
The production, directed by Pam Hotchkiss, will boast the talents of 23 young thespians, ages 7 to 17, taking the stage to enact the hilarious story of an unruly band of siblings who take over a church Christmas pageant. The production will include music from an “angel choir” — a cherubic group that will sing throughout the show.
The entire cast will also lift their voices in song in a short concert of holiday music, supplementing the play. Paul Colwell and Marita Ericksen will accompany.
Tickets, $7 and $10, are on sale at the Blue Heron, Heron’s Nest and Vashon Bookshop.
