Seattle chanteuse Halie Loren will bring her jazz trio to Vashon on Saturday for a 7:30 p.m. concert at the Blue Heron Arts Center.

Loren is a celebrated singer on the Seattle scene, appearing at such top venues as Jazz Alley, and she’s also traveled all over the world with her music, winning many fans and awards along the way.

Her albums include “Full Circle,” a debut released in 2006, followed by 2008’s “They Oughta Write a Song.” That album picked up the prize for best vocal jazz album of 2009 at the Just Plain Folks Music Awards. She has also recorded a live album, “Stages,” and in 2010, she put out “After Dark.” Her latest CD, “Heart First,” was just released.

On Vashon, she’ll be joined on stage by bassist Mark Schneider and pianist and backup vocalist Matt Treder.

Loren’s concert is the first in Vashon Allied Arts’ “Women in Jazz” series. For more information, visit www.vashonalliedarts.org. Tickets to the entire series are $48; tickets for individual shows cost $18 and $22.
