Enjoy an old-fashioned family performance
February 19, 2013 · Updated 11:51 AM
Pat (Lp) Camozzi, a singer, songwriter and author from Montreal, is the latest performer in Vashon Allied Arts’ Family Series, and he’s set to perform an all-ages show at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Blue Heron Arts Center.
Camozzi sings original songs about childhood, school and parenthood, accompanying himself on guitar, harmonica and even spoons — an old-timey instrument he teaches audience members to play as well.
He’s recorded two albums, “Even Kids Get the Blues” and “Even Kids Get Country.”
Camozzi has performed on stage since 2003 and in the past couple of years has been doing the children’s festival circuit. In 2010, he had run-of-festival performances at the Vancouver International Children’s Festival.
Tickets to the show are $5 for kids and Vashon Allied Arts members and $8 general admission. Get them at the Blue Heron, Heron’s Nest, www.vashonalliedarts.org or by calling 463-5131.
The series will continue with a performance by Bill Harley on March 3 and kindie rock by Caspar Babypants on April 7.
