First Friday Gallery Cruise listings

The First Friday Gallery Cruise takes place 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8.

Blue Heron Gallery: A group show will open.

Books by the Way: The store will show work from Brian Brenno’s art glass camp, and offer live music by Madeline Wolczko.

Café Luna: A show by Kara Jones will open.

Duet: Michael Spakowsky paintings will be shown.

Giraffe: The shop will show a collection of recycled saris transformed into quilts, made by former sex workers in Calcutta.

The Hardware Store Restaurant: An exhibit of paintings by Pam Ingalls will open.

The Senior Center: The center will display oils by students of Midge Grace.

Shefidgets Catering at Sound Food: There will be photographs by Rondi Lightmark (see page 12), music by the Riptide Ramblers and a wine tasting with Ron Irvine.

Silverwood Gallery: It will exhibit paintings by Margaret Tylczak, sculpture by Joanne Bohannon and jewelry by Eric Heffelfinger.

Treasure Island: The shop will show mirrors by Gabriel Blake, Vashon artist and drummer from Trolls Cottage.

Two Wall: The gallery will open a show by Ildikó Kalapács.

VALISE Gallery: An exhibit by Carol Schwennesen and Beverly Naidus will open.

Vashon Bookshop: Photographs by Mary Beba will be shown, and The Geezers will play music.

Vashon-Maury Island Heritage Musuem: Painting and drawings by Abby Williams Hill will be shown.

Vashon Tea Shop: The shop will show acrylic paintings by Islander Margaret Rothschild.
