Vashon Youth Chorus' 'Pinafore Pirates' will liven up Blue Heron

Vashon Island Youth Chorus, directed by Marita Ericksen, will bring almost 20 performers ages 6 to 13 to the stage in “The Pinafore Pirates,” a Gilbert and Sullivan spoof.
Roles in the show include familiar characters from “The Mikado,” “HMS Pinafore,” “Pirates of Penzance,” “Princess Ida” and “ Iolanthe.”
The show’s plot is a mash-up of Gilbert and Sullivan story lines as well.
Show organizers promise an upbeat production with lively music that will entertain the whole family.
“Pinafore Pirates” will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 16 and 17, and 4 p.m. Sunday, April 18, at the Blue Heron.
