The Mukai Gardens, an important Island historical site, has long been held captive by a phantom nonprofit organization, Island Landmarks. At last the attorney general is acting for the public benefit by demanding that this property be protected and preserved properly by removing it from the control of Island Landmarks and assuring that the property is operated in the public interest. Every Islander will benefit from this action, and it deserves wide and enthusiastic support from all of us.
