McDermott showed care for the elderly

I am delighted that U.S. Rep. Jim McDermott did the right thing in signing the Conyers letter demanding that Social Security cuts are off the table. As of Sept. 29, 90 other representatives have taken this lead.

I am pleased that we have a representative in Washington that can commit to care of the elderly in a just and democratic manner.
