In a community that places a high value on learning, we must have schools and building systems that work. We need to replace antiquated systems, structures and playing fields that are no longer functional.

We are fortunate on Vashon to have both a hard-working and responsive school board and an energetic and highly capable superintendent. The process of analyzing and prioritizing needs in school facilities was objective, thoughtful and collaborative. All of those involved deserve our appreciation and our trust. The time is right for us to give them a vote of confidence by supporting the bond measures currently before us.

We don’t have children in the Vashon schools, but know that the schools are an important part of the quality of life on our Island and a solid investment in the future. We encourage all our Vashon neighbors and friends to vote yes.
