Thank you for your encouraging and timely message on shopping local. This is the very message the Chamber has been promoting. We are committed to sustainable business on Vashon. Behind the scenes the Vashon Maury Island Chamber of Commerce has been preparing to help businesses achieve this goal. The last two years have been spent in reorganizing, redefining and redirecting efforts to align to the needs of Vashon’s businesses, non-profit organizations and the community, so we can indeed work together to keep Vashon strong and healthy.

Our businesses need to be educated, organized and prepared to meet the needs of our community and our visitors, and the Chamber is ready to lead the way. Anyone interested in what we’re doing or why they should be a part of it should give us a call. We can give them 10 quick reasons why being a member of the Chamber is good for everyone!

— Deborah Richards, Executive Director, Vashon Maury Island Chamber of Commerce
