Letters to the Editor

Vashon businesses buck trends, stick with cash | Letter to the Editor

Several weeks ago The Beachcomber ran an article about a number of the local businesses wanting customers to quit using charge cards (so they could make more money).

The Seattle Times on July 7 ran a front-page story headlined “Treasury prints less currency as use of plastic soars.”

On the back of my car is a sticker issued (for a $3 fee via credit card) by the Vashon Merchants Association saying “Keep Vashon Weird.” Good to see we are right on track.
