McFeeds structure actually dates to the 1920s | Letter to the Editor

May 29, 2012 · Updated 2:38 PM

What I believed to be true turns out to have been be false. (“McFeeds is not an historic structure,” May 23 letter to the editor). I wrote that the McFeeds building was a World War II Quonset hut and that turns out to be wrong. The very kind Islander who called to correct me proved that it was built in the 1920s. I apologize to all of you for not checking my facts and for being so gullible in the first place.
