Letters to the Editor

Let’s use extra money to retire school bond sooner | Letter to the Editor

In regard to The Beachcomber’s article “High school project gets infusion of state money” (July 18), this may be a naive question, but why does the school district feel that the state money will “provide flexibility to spend it on other capital projects,” as an administrator was quoted as saying, projects that failed to get voter approval? Could it not be better used toward paying off the bonds to relieve our taxpayers?
