New building turned out well

I recently toured the new high school building and was very pleased with what I saw.

I regret losing the main classroom building we created in 1972, but it would have been very difficult, disruptive and a series of compromises to remodel that building instead of providing a new one.

I congratulate the school board, staff, architects and contractors and all the citizens of Vashon that supported the effort. Our tax money was well spent.

— Keith Putnam, architect
