The past few weeks I have followed the news of

a potential buyout of Glacier with great interest.

While this sounds good, I do have a few questions about the overall long-term financial implications. First, with the demise of Glacier on the Island, how will home property taxes be affected? Many of us received a shocking surprise in our last property tax bill. I have contacted Rep. Sharon Nelson and have received no response on this topic. Second, what will the cost of supporting the park be in the future? And third, every time the land trust buys property I am assuming it goes off the tax rolls. If this is correct, then how many parks are enough?
