Girl who pushed friend off bridge does not reflect Vashon

The girl who pushed her friend off of the bridge near Vancouver, Taylor Smith, was a Vashon resident and attended Vashon Island High School for about a year. This story has been covered on national news, and Smith was a guest on Good Morning America a few days ago. While this incident may be shocking to those who knew Smith, it must be remembered that she and her actions do not reflect who we are as a community. Vashon is a great place to live, and the people here are great, and what Smith did does not represent who we are.
