It seems schadenfreude is not out of place regarding the new theater and gallery space. Many islanders expressed the wish for a small, intimate theater for islanders to perform for families and friends. Our comments were met with disdain by those in charge … the funding was coming from donations, no tax money involved, so our “vote” didn’t count.
