I’m writing to express my gratitude and urge the continued support of the Vashon Community Scholarship Foundation. As a member of the 1990 graduating class at Vashon High School, I was fortunate to receive a scholarship sponsored by the K2 Corporation. Their financial generosity enabled me to pursue my coursework without excessive financial stress.
I’m really excited about the new Vashon library.
I live behind the construction site and have really enjoyed watching this progression.
Not my kid. This is often what parents tell me when they think about domestic violence. They tell me that it wouldn’t happen to their daughter because she is way too feisty.
As the owner of property adjoining the K2 site and a 20-year member of the Vashon community, I strongly oppose situating a marijuana factory there. While I support marijuana legalization and participated in efforts to find a use for the K2 facility, marijuana production is not the solution.
Can anyone doubt that reproductive freedom has arisen because women, fully human and created by God, were treated and continue to be treated as objects?
I’ve worked as a consultant in nearly 100 school districts in this country, including the Vashon Island School District, and in more than a dozen others on every continent except Australia and Antarctica.
Health care, not wealth care. Thank you. Donna Liberty
At the national level what passes as health care is something you buy insurance to get. The insurance industry is getting very well, while breast cancer prevention is getting nowhere. The administration hasn’t the stomach to crank health care 90 degrees, so there’s no hope.
I have been an active member of the school community on Vashon for nearly 20 years, with a child who graduates Vashon High School this year and one at the Harbor School.
As I toured the new, beautiful high school this past week, I was flooded with memories of my own time growing up on Vashon. I feel lucky to be a part of a community that supports the success of our students.
It’s that time again when the Vashon Community Scholarship Foundation asks our community to help give the gift of opportunity for Vashon High School seniors who complete a scholarship notebook
The United States as we once knew it, or thought we did, is finished
I am not a Catholic and have not practiced approved Catholic family planning.
