Kids can rock out at a show by Caspar Babypants

A family show will play at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Vashon Center for the Arts.

One of the hottest acts in the growing “kindie rock” music scene, Caspar Babypants will play a family show at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Vashon Center for the Arts.

Caspar Babypants is the alter ego and creation of Chris Ballew, who many parents will recognize as the twice Grammy-nominated songwriter and lead singer of the 1990s Seattle alt-rock group The Presidents of the United States of America.

With catchy and simple sing-along music geared toward children and adults, Caspar Babypants is a perennial favorite throughout Seattle and the Northwest, gigging frequently at arts centers, libraries and other hotspots for the younger set. He regularly releases new music for his growing fanbase. At his show on Vashon, he will play both old favorites and songs from his new album, Keep It Real.

Find out more about his music and see the colorful artwork for his albums and children’s books (created by his wife, Kate Endle) at babypantsmusic.com.

Tickets for show on Saturday at VCA are $6 for youth and $10 for adults.
