Music of the Methow comes to Vashon

Guest cellist and emcee Kevin Krentz will bring music from his Methow Music Festival to the Kay White Hall at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

The program, entitled “Romantic Strings,” will feature works by Russian composer Anton Arensky and Czech composer Antonin Dvorak. The evening is presented by Vashon Chamber Music.

In honor of Valentine’s Day, two couples will perform Arensky’s Quartet for violin, viola (Luka Sesek and Amber Archibald-Sesek) and two cellos (Kevin Krentz and Haeyoon Shin). They will be joined by violinist Ingrid Matthews and bassist Travis Gore for the Dvorak string sextet.

Tickets are sold at vashoncenterforthearts.org.
