Puppet show brings Beatrix Potter’s tale to life

Vashon Center for the Arts’ Families Series will present “The Tales of Two Bad Mice,” performed by the professional Seattle puppet company Thistle Theatre at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Based on the eponymous book by Beatrix Potter, the puppet show will tell the tale of two mice that one day discover a child’s dollhouse. Frustrated by the inedible plastic food, Tom Thumb and Hunca Munca behave badly, smashing dishes, throwing doll clothing, tearing up pillows and carrying off articles to their mouse-hole. In response, the child puts a police doll outside the front door of the doll house. The question is, what will the mice do next?

Tickets are available at VCA and at vashoncenterforthearts.org.
