Seattle Symphony all-stars perform at VCA

Vashon Chamber Music’s Seattle Symphony All Stars series will continue with a special “ladies night” concert from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Sunday at the Kay White Hall.

Principal Second Violin Elisa Barston and Associate Principal Cello Meeka Quan-DiLorenzo will each play solo pieces and then join forces for a piano trio with series favorite Jessica Choe.

Featured composers will include Mozart, Schumann and Dvorak. Artistic Director Rowena Hammill will introduce the performers and offer some remarks about the works that will be performed.

“I’m happy to be bringing Dvorak’s beloved Dumky Trio back to Vashon audiences after several years’ hiatus,” she said. “It is one long romantic Bohemian rhapsody and lament — truly gorgeous music to listen to and indeed to play.”
