Shakespeare classic gets a facelift

On Tuesday night, the Vashon Theatre offers a screening of Antoni Cimolino’s chilling production of Shakespeare’s “Macbeth” from Canada’s Stratford Festival, in high definition.

Heralded as a “triumphant, thrilling terror” by the Toronto Globe and Mail, the production stars Ian Lake (above) who, according to the New York Times, offers “a galvanizing performance as an unusually young and sexually magnetic Macbeth.”

Tickets cost $15 ($14 for seniors, and $12 for kinds under 12) and are available at vashontheatre.com or at the box office. The show begins at 7 p.m.
