Step out for First Friday gallery cruise

Most galleries and art spots are open from 6 to 9 p.m.

Café Luna will show work by Anna Witte, a storybook illustrator, artist, author and teacher.

Giraffe will celebrate one year at its new location, with leather works by Bill Cleaver.

Hastings-Cone Gallery will show paintings and mixed media by Susan Jane Russell.

Hinge Gallery will show collages by Tara Snowden, prints by Sue Hardy and etchings by Brent Houston.

Raven’s Nest Gallery will exhibit a private collection of contemporary and vintage Native American dolls.

Sarah St. Germain, owner of Sarah’s Salon, recently opened her salon during Gallery Cruise to help promote teen art and will feature Ray Pfortner’s Harbor School students’ photography.

SAW will celebrate its fifth-year anniversary.

The Hardware Store Restaurant will exhibit portraits of island children painted by Pam Ingalls in a show called “Fresh Faces: Facing Vashon’s Children.”

VALISE Gallery will show mixed media artwork by collective members in a show called “Blocked.”

Brittany Both paintings will be at Vashon Intuitive Arts.

VCA’s Koch Gallery will show work by Cindy Small, Larine Chung and Leah Gerrard. The Vashon High School Biennial Student Art Show, under the guidance of VHS teacher Terry Swift, will be held in the lobby of VCA.

Vashon Senior Center will show origami wall art by Alice Larson, owner of Island Paper Chase.
