The Lasses & Kathryn Claire, a Dutch-American folk trio, will perform at 7:30 pm Thursday, April 19, at the Vashon Island Coffee Roasterie.

Katherine Claire, a Portland-based musician, and the Dutch duo Margot Merah and Sophia Janna, met in Amsterdam in 2013, and soon realized they shared a love of harmony and storytelling through music.

The trio has since toured in Europe, Japan and the Pacific Northwest, and released a live album of their music. At their Roasterie concert, expect both heartfelt ballads and foot-stomping songs.

Most recently, on their 10-day tour of Japan, the Lasses & Kathryn Claire shared their music with their international fans. As they prepare for their fourth North American tour, the musical collaboration reported that they are looking forward to sharing original songs and stories inspired by their time together on the road around the world.

Tickets, $10, are on sale at the Vashon Bookshop or online at www.BrownPaperTickets.com.
