Vashon Theatre named best rural movie house
September 14, 2010 · Updated 1:19 PM
The Seattle Weekly proclaimed Vashon’s one and only theater the best of the lot among those in rural areas.
In a recent blurb in the Weekly, writer Mike Seely said it’s a theater that offers up “something for everyone,” from box-office hits to indie films to events like the Oscar night.
“It’s not just a great place to take in a flick; it’s a community anchor,” he added.
