Two sheriff's deputies arrested a 35-year-old Vashon man Monday night who was wanted for questioning in Yakima for a murder in the Eastern Washington city.

According to Sgt. John Urquhart, spokesman for the King County Sheriff's Office, the man was arrested for two outstanding traffic warrants while he was walking along Vashon Highway in Vashon town. He was apprehended without incident.

Urquhart said he doesn't know any of the details about the murder or why Yakima police wanted him apprehended. "All I know is that Yakima had asked us to keep an eye out for him," he said.

Yakima authorities could not be reached for comment.
