Chetzemoka goes back into service Tuesday afternoon

February 14, 2012 · Updated 4:06 PM

The Chetzemoka, the new ferry serving the Point Defiance-Tahlequah ferry route, was out of service for much of Tuesday after its stack overheated.

It's going back into service Tuesday afternoon, for its 4:30 sailing, according to Marta Coursey, a spokesperson for Washington State Ferries.

Coursey said the Chetzemoka was inspected by vessel engineers and the Coast Guard and needed a repair. The boat missed several sailings Tuesday.
