Irvine named best winemaker by Seattle Weekly

August 14, 2012 · 12:37 PM

Ron Irvine, owner of Vashon Winery, was recently named Best Winemaker of 2012 in the Seattle Weekly’s Best of Seattle edition.

The weekly newspaper, in its Aug. 1 edition, called Irvine knowledgeable yet humble and approachable in an industry that is often stuffy. It also commended the winery’s pino noir made from grapes grown on Vashon and its popular Tramp Harbor Red, which the paper called “crowd-pleasing and versatile.”
