Tech prognosticator to give lecture on trends and the job market

An internationally known expert in technology and economics will visit Vashon next week to give students and their families insights about the world they will enter after graduation.

Mark Anderson, a prognosticator who has become known for accurately predicting trends in technology and the world economy, will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, at McMurray Middle School.

Anderson is the CEO of a highly regarded news service as well as a consultant to top-tier corporations and a commentator who has appeared on or contributed to BBC World News, NPR, The Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. A San Juan Island resident, he was invited by the Vashon Island School District to speak about coming trends and how schools and families can prepare students for the job market they will one day enter.
