Talent shines at VHS
May 22, 2008 · Updated 9:42 AM
The annual performance of the Best of Open Mic, also known as B.O.O.M., will take place at 7 p.m. tonight, May 21, in the Vashon High School (VHS) theater.
VHS students gather on the last Friday of the month to cheer on the talents of their fellow Pirates at Open Mic.
This once-a-month event offers an opportunity for students to share their music, dance, comedy, poetry, film and more with the school. The talent show, sponsored by the Literary Journal club, packs the gym with an enthusiastic and appreciative audience.
Each spring, B.O.O.M., a special performance of the best acts of the year, is presented for the entire Vashon community to enjoy. This event will also commence sales of the 2008 Literary Journal, a collection of writing and art by VHS students.
Admission is $3 at the door. Journals will be for sale for $3. Or buy both for $5.
