The Friends of Island Center Forest will be holding its quarterly meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14 at the Land Trust building at 10014 S.W. Bank Rd.

Island Center Forest is a sustainable managed forest in the heart of Vashon that contains trails and habitat for wildlife.

There have been significant changes to the forest this summer. At the meeting, recent trail and parking improvements and forest management activities will be discussed. Attendees will have the chance to hear an update on planned grant-funded improvements at the forest and preview a power point presentation that will be shown at the Vashon-Maury Island Community Council meeting on Oct. 20.
