Massive search launched for beloved dog that went missing near Island Center Forest
March 24, 2010 · Updated 2:17 PM
Amy Carey and Hamish Todd have launched a massive search for Isabelle, an 18-year-old shepherd mix with brown fur and blue eyes that disappeared into Island Center Forest last Tuesday.
Carey, a real estate agent on Vashon, was with Isabelle and her other dogs near her home on a dead-end road by the
expansive forest when she looked away briefly to tend to her other canines.
“By the time I turned around to get her, she was gone,” Carey said.
The couple have put signs up across the Island, gone into the woods twice with a tracking dog and conducted computer-generated phone-calling to Islanders in the hopes of getting some leads.
They’ve also set up a Facebook page, findisabelleonvashon. Those with leads should call Carey at (206) 755-3981.
