Each year, The Beachcomber creates a section dedicated to recognizing Vashon High School’s seniors and publicizing their after-high school plans.

But putting the section together requires help from the seniors or their parents to fill out a survey and return it to Beachcomber reporters. This year, the section will be included in the June 14 issue, and surveys need to be filled out and returned by May 23. Surveys are available at the high school (counselors), in an email sent to parents of seniors last month, at The Beachcomber office and on Facebook (tinyurl.com/mjyaho2).

The survey has five simple questions:

1. Name of VHS senior

2. What are you doing next year? If attending school, what school?

3. What are your passions or greatest accomplishments?

4. What are your fondest memories of high school?

5. What are your parents’ names? If you live off-island, where do you live?

Graduating seniors should email the answers to these questions to Beachcomber reporter Sarah Low at slow@vashonbeachcomber.com by the May 23 deadline to be included in the section. Survey answers received after that date will not be included. If students go to school off island, or wish to use a different picture than will be in the VHS yearbook, a high-resolution photo should be included with the survey answers.
