Bob Mabray

He is sorely missed by his wife, Phyllis, his brother, Bill and sister-in-law Becky.

Bob passed away at age 70 on March 2, 2023 at Evergreen Hospice House in Kirkland—he’d planned on living until at least 80 but melanoma had other plans.

As a long-time wine enthusiast he loved sharing that passion, first at Vashon Thriftway, later in wholesale sales, and finally in Tacoma at his dream retirement job in the Westgate Liquor wine department. Bob especially enjoyed Washington wines and would regularly make tasting pilgrimages to the eastern side of the state.

He loved playing and coaching soccer, listening to classic rock and roll (he was a walking encyclopedia of British rock band trivia), rooting for the Seattle Mariners and always hoping they would win it all.

Friends loved his wicked sense of humor, crazy Seinfeld quotes, and his eternally upbeat outlook even when facing cancer. He is sorely missed by his wife, Phyllis, his brother, Bill and sister-in-law Becky.
