John Walker Moon Rollo

John Walker Moon Rollo has climbed his final mountain.

Jack packed with him the memory of his: lovely wife Marge, three successful children, Ian, Nick and Kim, their supportive partners Jean, Pedro, Sara and Kerry; five gorgeous granddaughters, Natalie, Ellie, Tessa, Stella and Rebecca; five loving dogs, Sam, Shep, Missy, Mickey and Lukie; and two gentle cats, Big and Little.

Graduating from Seattle University, Jack spent two years in Korea guarding U. S. military arsenal. He then went to Europe to teach children of U. S. military families. He married lovely Marge in Switzerland in 1960.

Settling on Vashon in 1967, Jack worked for: the Seattle School District as an elementary principal, LS Cedar and the Food Bank. Although a dedicated worker, he found time to: walk, jog, complete five marathons, climb mountains, remodel a cabin, explore with fellow Trailblazers, love his family, walk his dogs, “jaw” with friends and have a beer or two.

Jack was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, in-law and dog-owner. He will be remembered and missed by all his family and friends.

So long, Jack. Keep on trekkin’!
