Forming a hospital district for Vashon will keep our community healthy. There is research to support this fact. Also, it’s the right thing to do. Families with young children, parents who work off island, service workers who earn hourly wages, elderly people who have difficulty traveling to the city; these people all need the solid presence of a clinic on the island. I am grateful to those who have stepped up to support this initiative. I feel blessed to belong to a community that cares for its citizens.
