LETTER: Covered pool will be valuable community resource

The recent stretch of soggy, grey weather has me eager to see the Vashon Pool covered for year-round use. Fitness is important for the health and well-being of the community, and we all struggle to get out enough when the days are wet and short. Swimming is an equal opportunity exercise that can be enjoyed regardless of age, finances or skill level. A pool can be a venue for solo workouts, team events, family fun, teen socializing, senior fitness, weight loss, recovery from injury and more. A covered public pool will be a huge asset for all members of the community.
