LETTER: How Trump’s labor secretary can keep capitalism alive

Andy Puzder, Donald Trump’s choice for labor secretary, might like to consider a program of complete elimination of workers. Those workers who make $20,000 per year really cut into profits.

He might like to also consider elimination of the extra population. The vehicles could be scrapped out as well, eliminating all those poorly maintained cars.

Problem: Who would then buy the hamburgers? Puzder could upscale to French and Spanish cuisine, tapas and small plates. The small plates could be even smaller — again increasing profits. Capitalism would solve our problems based on corporate profitability. Trump and his guys could keep their assets and remain leaders of their corporations. When their profits fall, they could simply adjust national policies accordingly. The average salary will rise even if the actual number of jobs goes down. It works.
