LETTER: Time to turn from government to coopertives

Money is an element that interferes in too many lives in and through government. Money has become all important and competitive (banks, Wall Street, individuals) and no longer serves us all. We can change that by forming and joining cooperatives of all kinds, which are formed and governed by ordinary people to serve their needs — not just to accumulate wealth.

You can join one or form one. On Vashon, we have two cooperative credit unions. What else can we create?
