Health care off-island: Bad idea.

1. My insurance copay plus the cost of a ferry ticket? Ouch!

2. I cannot afford to spend a half day or more going to the doctor.

3. I’m single. If I’m feeling so sick that I need a driver, I might stay home rather than possibly infecting a friend. I’d be a health risk.

4. No bathrooms in the ferry lines for ill people — potential nightmare.

5. All of those trips off-island equals all of those carbon emissions. Not good!
