I’d like to offer a toast to the new Vashon Neighborcare clinic. It’s high time we celebrate the availability of quality medical care to everyone regardless of ability to pay.

Last week I went to the medical clinic and liked what I saw. The front desk staff was cheerful, helpful and encouraged me to ask questions. My doctor seemed happy to be there and provided the help I needed. What a change from the last time I was there a few years ago.

If we, as a community, want to keep our clinic, we need to use it. We are incredibly fortunate that Neighborcare was willing to invest in us and we, in turn, raised a respectable amount of money in pledges and cash to get them up and running. Now we need to show up and let the staff know how much we appreciate having Vashon Neighborcare here.
