The Vashon Lacrosse Club closed out its season with losses to Tahoma on Tuesday, May 10, and Vancouver’s King’s Way, on Friday, May 13. Both winning teams are playoff bound.

Vashon finished the year with four wins and 13 losses as it played through significant challenges this season and did so with class.

Senior co-captains Sam West and Zach Stackhouse provided exemplary leadership.

Moreover, the future is hopeful for Vashon lacrosse. The team will graduate only five players from a team of 30. Stellar goalie Aaron Bomber and Luke Hembree, who was a league leader in scoring, will both return.

Additionally, next year’s ninth-grade class is particularly talented. That talent came through loud and clear this past weekend, when Vashon’s seventh- and eighth-grade team beat perennial power Bainbridge, 13-1.
