Three Vashon tennis players earned spots in the Tri-District tournament when Vashon hosted the Nisqually League tournament last Wednesday, where the top four singles and doubles teams advanced to districts.

Singles player Zach Barker advanced by winning, 6-0, 6-0, over Northwest Christian. He lost the semifinal match to a Charles Wright player, 4-6, 3-6, but went on to win third place at the tournament by beating a Cascade Christian player, 6-4, 6-0.

The doubles team of Will West and Chris Cirillo finished fourth at the tournament, also advancing to the Tri-District tournament, which finished this week after press deadline.

Stein Jennings and Parker Scott, a doubles team, and singles players Ben Whitaker and Ian Peterson also competed.
