Plenty of hardware to go around at Vashon horse show

The results for this year’s Shaggy Horse show are now available.

Sara Barry won Second Childhood Western Pleasure 18 and Over.

Taylor Shride took first in Western Pleasure for ages 13 to 18; Lizzy Corliss got second, and Max Johnson placed third.

For 12 and under Stori Johnson won the Western Pleasure event, while Roehre Cunningham took second, Anaca Murphy was third and Ruby VonHenkle was fourth.

In Western Equitation for riders 13 and over, Lizzy Corliss took the blue ribbon. Taylor Shride placed second, followed by Sara Barry in third, Max Johnson in fourth and Beth Johansen in fifth.

And for riders 12 and under, Stori Johnson won Western Equitation. Roehre Cunningham earned second place and Anaca Murphy was third.

In Second Childhood Dressage Equitation, Marci Napoli earned first place.

Anna Wilson beat out the competition to win the Dressage Equitation competition for those ages 13 to 18. In second it was Taylor Shride; in third Giana Andrews, in fourth Max Johnson and in fifth Emma Levant.

Dressage Equitation 12 and Under was won by Emalia Hinden-Stevenson. Margaret Heagerty placed second; Diane Kennicott was third and Stori Johnson was fourth. Fifth place was won by Natasha Medved and Anaca Murphy took sixth.

Marci Napoli won Bareback Equitation. Second was Sara Barry, third was Lizzy Corliss, fourth was Emalia Hinden-Stevenson and fifth was Max Johnson.

Stephanie Provost blue-ribboned in Western and English Equitation. Sarah Loring placed second. Rachel Anderson took third place, followed by Emily Kruly in fourth, Carter Knox in fifth and Daniel Walker in sixth.

In the Western and English Equitation Lead Line event, all riders received first place; and in the Costume Class, all riders received certificates and a ribbon.

The following are the results from the jump classes:

Rachel Anderson won Beginner Equitation Trot Poles, and Giana Anderson took second. Emalia Hinden-Stevenson was third and Roehre Cunningham was fourth.

Rachel Anderson was first in Equitation Class 18 inches. Second was Stori Johnson; Margaret Heagerty was third; Anaca Murphy was fourth; Max Johnson was fifth and Diane Kennicott was sixth.

Clara Kappelman earned first place in Equitation Class 2 feet maximum. Second was Rachel Anderson. Natasha Medved took third, followed by Emma Sinai-Yunker in fourth, Diane Kennicott in fifth and Taylor Shride in sixth.

Margaret Heagerty blue-ribboned in Jumper Class 2 feet maximum. Second was Leah Royal, and in third was Anaca Murphy. Rachel Anderson placed fourth, and Dianne Kennicott got fifth. Natasha Medved was sixth.

Margaret Heagerty was first in Equitation Class 2 feet 3 inches, followed by Anna Wilson in second and Taylor Shride in third. Dianne Kennicott took fourth place, Natasha Medved was fifth and Anaca Murphy was sixth.

Margaret Heagerty placed first in Jumper Class 2 feet 6 inches. Second was Madeline Bergman, Dianne Kennicott took third and Taylor Shride was fourth.

Jumper Class 2 feet 9 inches maximum was won by Anna Wilson.

Brenda Sestrap won the novice ground handling event. Karen Staton was second, Taylor Shride third, Giana Andrews fourth, Sara Barry fifth and Stephanie Provost sixth.

Lizzy Corliss won the advanced ground handling event. Taylor Shride took second place and Marci Napoli was third. Sara Barry won the novice obstacle course event, followed by Ruby VonHenkle in second and Max Johnson in third. Fourth was Roehre Cunningham, fifth was Sarah Loring and sixth was Marci Napoli.

Lizzy Corliss won the advanced obstacle course event. Jessica Wetzste took second place; Maggie Wiggins earned third place.
